The Advantages Of Using An Online Kitchen Planner

By Matthew Kerridge

Studies have shown again and again that the majority of time spent in a home is in the kitchen. The kitchen is obviously the primary option for eating meals, but it's also used in many other ways. A lot of people watch television or work on their computer in the kitchen. The reason for this is easy access to a quick snack or drink, and it's often a central location of the home. Students also often do homework in the kitchen because there are fewer distractions. In addition to that, a lot of people like to entertain in the kitchen, which can go beyond eating. For example, having a few drinks and chatting or playing a bored game.

Since the kitchen does hold so much value, it's important that you make it look and feel the best it possibly can. Being that there is so much time spent there, it should be as comfortable as possible.

It's a good thing there's such an easy option for designing kitchens these days, which is to use an online kitchen planner. By using this method, you will be able to pick and choose everything you want for the room, including shapes, colors, countertops, table, cabinets, sink, chairs and microwave. When it comes to the kitchen, it doesn't matter what you're looking for, an online kitchen planner will find it.

There are several advantages to using an online kitchen planner, which vary based on the options. The first option is the Armstrong Flooring Online Planner. When it comes to the Armstrong Flooring Online Planner, there is no download or registration required. That's a big plus, but it offers a lot more. This user-friendly program will allow you to design your kitchen, as well as any other room in the home. You have the option of choosing flooring options, room style, colors, and the overall look and feel right from your fingertips.

You can also design an Ikea-based room. If you choose to do this, you will download an online planner. Don't worry, the downloads are safe and secure. This is an easy to use option. You can just drag and drop items into whatever room you're designing. Print out the final product and bring it to Ikea. If you do, you might get a good deal. Every store wants to see that their online programs are being used. If you can prove that you're using one of them, they will be more than happy to reward you.

A third option is to use Merillat. It's free and easy to use. It's a 3-D online kitchen planner that is only available for a pc. It won't work on a Mac. With this option, you can select the type of look you want, color schemes, as well as locations of various items, including cabinets and stove-tops.

If you ever choose to use an online kitchen planner, it's a good idea to print out the final design and bring it to the store with you. This will help speed up the process. - 32406

Update Your Kitchen on a Budget

By Matthew Kerridge

Today's kitchens are the heart of the home. More time is spent in the kitchen than almost any other room in the house. When was the last time you actually looked at your kitchen? Does it still have the decor of 1970s kitchens? Are the appliances 20 years old and the colour of an avocado? Is working in the kitchen difficult? Have you wondered how to make your kitchen more attractive and functional even though you are on a budget? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, it may be time to update your kitchen and make some low-cost improvements.

An affordable way to update a kitchen's look is to apply new paint, wallpaper or tile to the walls. It's amazing what a colour change can do. If your kitchen tends to look dark, you may want to go with a lighter wall colour. If you are looking for a warm, cosy feel, a rich red or brown may do the trick. New window coverings will also improve a kitchen's appearance. Using valances instead of curtains opens the kitchen up and allows you to see out while working. Valances are also less expensive than full-sized curtains.

Creating additional kitchen storage is easy to do and inexpensive. If you need more cabinet space, invest in some shelving inserts that either turn or add stacked shelving to existing cabinetry. Inexpensive bins can be purchased that allow you to better organize cooking utensils and other tools in drawers. If you have a bit more money, self-contained shelving is available. There are even portable options that are on wheels, allowing you to easily push them into the kitchen when needed and out of the way later.

Look around your kitchen, paying attention to the flow of the room. Is it difficult to get around? Is there a way to make more space and improve the room dynamic? Perhaps your children have left home and you no longer need the large kitchen table with six chairs that you once did. By replacing it with a smaller table and fewer chairs, you create a more practical, free-flowing workspace. If desired, you can invest in a rolling island that provides additional counter space, but is rolled out of the way when not in use.

Initially expensive, new appliances pay for themselves in the long run and cost much less to use than older models. Because new appliances are more energy efficient, your utility bills will be lower. An Energy Star compliant refrigerator will save an average of $100 a year over a refrigerator made in 1993 or before. You can save approximately $40 a year and cut water consumption up to 2 gallons per load by purchasing a new Energy Star qualified dishwasher. If you are unable to purchase new appliances, try replacing one at a time as needed.

Appliances in modern kitchens are more energy-efficient than ever. At first glance, replacing older appliances doesn't seem like an option for the budget conscious. If you are able to afford new appliances at the outset, however, new refrigerators, dishwashers and stoves will pay for themselves by reducing your utility bills.

Kitchens are so much more than a place to cook and clean. By updating your kitchen and making it a welcome, inviting place to be, you will create a more comfortable and efficient workspace that you truly enjoy being in. - 32406

Learn the Essentials of Choosing a Stainless Roasting Pan, from Construction and Shape to Indispensable Extras

By Bethany Boylan

Do you enjoy visions of your family sitting down to a delicious holiday meal? Do you also have nightmares of a burnt turkey as the centerpiece to your meal? To help avoid a disastrous holiday meal, you should choose the best turkey roasting pan. I recommend a stainless roasting pan. If you have the wrong roaster, you could end up with unevenly cooked meat, a pan so heavy you strain yourself lifting it out of the oven, and burnt gravy.

The size of a roasting pan is your first decision to make. Air circulation and wasted space within the pan should both be considered. Ideally, you want a pan that fits in your oven, of course, but that has about 2 inches between it and the oven walls so that air can flow well. In addition, you want your roast to fit snugly in the pan, with little wasted room around the edges. This can just cause the juices to spread thinly and burn during cooking.

The material of your roasting pan is important. You want your pan to be light, sturdy and to conduct heat well. Aluminum conducts heat well, but it reacts badly to the acids in lemons and tomatoes which can affect the taste of your food. Stainless steel in non-reactive and not too heavy or fragile, as stoneware can be. However, stainless steel is not a good conductor of heat. Therefore, I recommend a heavy stainless roasting pan layered with sheets of aluminum and/or copper.

Be sure to check that your stainless roaster can stand up to high temperatures from the burners on your stove and also the near-broiling temperatures required inside your oven. With roasting meat comes the desire to make gravy, and it is easiest to place your roaster on the stove top and go. In addition, you may need to brown the meat on the stove top before placing it in the over. Warping or buckling are symptoms of an inferior roasting pan placed on a stove top. In addition, these pans can heat differently in different areas of the pan and cause burning of your gravy.

Did you ever consider the handles on a pan? Easy to forget about, but essential when you are removing that heavy, hot pan from the oven. The best handles are strongly riveted to the pan and stand straight up from the pan so oven space is not wasted. Cheaper handles stick straight out from the pan or even worse, fold down. Try getting your potholder-covered hand through that handle easily. In addition, you should choose a rectangular pan with rounded corners that facilitate easy cleaning. The height of the sides of your pan should be 2.5 to 3 inches, which is the happy medium to allow air to circulate, yet won't allow hot juices to spill easily.

There are deals on pans that include handy extras. A rack is one. My favorite extra is heavy forks. Even if I only use my forks once a year to lift that heavy turkey out of the pan onto my serving platter, they were worth it. - 32406

Invest in Quality Knives for Better Food Preparation

By Moses Harun

Now after a century of business, Farberware offers many kitchen gadgets and accessories covering the spectrum from home appliances to tableware to barbecue accessories. One of its quality made product lines is kitchen knives, which have been made into five series. According to its website, these five include the Farberware Millennium, the Stainless Soft Grip, the Farberware Classic Series, the Farberware Professional and the Farberware kitchen knife sets, all of which feature non-slip handles.

Product Features

The Millennium series is made with stainless steel handles and fine-edged blades which happen to be dishwasher-safe, renedering them more user-friendly than many good quality cutlery sets. The Stainless Soft Grip series possesses the same attributes present in the Millennium series aside from the issue that hand washing is recommended. The Professional Series has the same attributes as the other series plus that these handles use three rivets to ensure stability and strength.

The Classic Series and the Ultraedge Pro Series of the Farberware kitchen knife set reportedly require no blade sharpening due to their high-carbon stainless steel blades, which are arguably the standard materials for cutlery nowadays. With their non-slip handles formed from polypropylene, and you have a very good knife. All you want to remember, apparently, is which Faberware knife set requires hand washing rather than dishwasher cleaning.

Advantages

Well, if you might be the sort who doesn't clean knives right when you use them, but would rather put your cutlery into the dishwasher, the Farberware Millenium series would be perfect for you. Even with the Millenium knives, you ought to keep in mind that even the highest kind of steel will rust after too many exposures to the chemicals employed by a dishwasher.

Also, several of the Farberware knives are constructed using high-carbon stainless steel, which has proven to be highly-resistant to corrosion and rust. While carbon steel is not as straightforward to sharpen as usual stainless steel blades, the supposed "no need for sharpening" quality means you shouldn't have to worry about it.

The Cuisinart blades have been forged, not cold rolled, which results in exceptionally balanced tools which rest light in your hands but heavy on the food being cut. But naturally, these qualities are seen in most forged knives, so that's hardly anything to have a party about.

What's more, if you are a person who would prefer to enjoy coordinated utensils but loses them more than usual, you may be happy to note that the pieces of any Faberware knife set could be bought at any better retailer around the country. After all, Farberware is nearly everywhere!

Disadvantages

The somewhat narrow handles of nearly all pieces in a Faberware knife set could pose an issue for users with large hands. Although the blades work satisfactorily normally, getting a good grip on the handles could be difficult, particularly when your hands are wet.

An unfortunate aspect of the "no need for sharpening" claim, this could be relevant only to repeated uses, because you still need to sharpen Faberware knives right out of the package. After that, you can just do the maintenance to make the knives as well as possible. (Apparently, the "no need for sharpening" claim is simply a marketing gimmick)

The final judgment concerning a Faberware kitchen knife set: It's an average product which might be acquired for an average price. For more demanding kitchen jobs, you might as well part with more money to purchase the proper kind of knives. For daily tasks in your home, a Farberware kitchen knife will serve just fine. - 32406

Important Considerations for your Traditional Kitchen

By Matthew Kerridge

Many people prefer traditional kitchens because they are exactly that-traditional. They have all the things that pertain to time-honoured function and design. Usually meals are eaten right in the kitchen, so planning for proper seating is important. Some kitchens may have stools so that meals can be eaten at a counter. Others will have a small breakfast table and chairs off to the side of the main cooking area.

Using natural light is a good start in creating an energy conscious kitchen. Not only does it reduce the need for supplemental light during the day, but it can add a feeling of spaciousness to a room. Energy saving light bulbs and fixtures can be used to direct light just where it is needed at the sink, stove or other workstations. Small, efficient grow lights can turn a windowsill into an herb garden.

Proper food storage is essential for reducing spoilage. Traditional kitchens usually meet this need by using appliances such as refrigerators and freezers for foods that have specialized temperature and humidity requirements. A pantry cupboard for canned goods and dried foodstuffs can be fitted with racks and shelves so that the food can be organized and kept accessible for use before its expiration date.

Pots, pans, bake ware, mixing bowls, measuring cups and utensils all need to be stored in an orderly fashion so that they are easy to find and accessible when needed. Small items such as measuring spoons or pizza cutters are usually best kept in drawers. Large pots and pans can be stored in base cabinets. In some traditional kitchens, decorative colanders or skillets are hung from ceiling hooks where they are both attractive and accessible.

Food preparation areas need special attention because these are the areas that keep your food sanitary. Sinks can be either single or double basin, but they should be large enough to be able you wash and rinse your largest pot. It is also important that the drain be easy to clean. If it is equipped with a garbage disposal, it is important to not allow dried food particles to build up. Cutting boards need to be kept clean and sanitized regularly.

Countertops are the mainstay of traditional kitchens. They can be made of many different materials but they need to be durable, nonporous, and easy to clean. Plastic laminate, tile, artificial stone, natural stone and even concrete are all good materials for a counter. Most countertops are available in many colours. The countertop is usually one of the first things you notice in a kitchen, and is the part that is used the most.

At the heart of it all, a kitchen is all about the cooking. Traditional kitchens may offer a choice of gas or electric ovens and cook tops. Sometimes these will be one-piece units with the cooking surface on top of the oven, and sometimes they will be separate with a cook top installed on a countertop or an island and the oven installed into the wall. - 32406

Plan For Your New Kitchen Remodel

By Matthew Kerridge

Most people feel that the kitchen is the heart of the home. Family and friends gather in the kitchen to celebrate birthdays, graduations and holidays. The kitchen is a wonderful place to share secrets and stories while preparing family meals and eat family dinners. If you've been dreaming of a larger kitchen or a more modern space, now is the perfect time to embark on a kitchen remodel. Choose a design firm that specializes in kitchen redesign or do-it yourself with the help of a kitchen planner.

A major component of a kitchen remodel is replacing old appliances with newer models and more features. For a retro kitchen, choose bright coloured appliances like a stove painted cherry red or electric blue. For a more traditional look, purchase black and white appliances and be sure they all match. Stainless steel appliances are somewhat easier to keep clean and are a popular choice for more modern kitchens. A kitchen planner will help you decide on the best placement for your appliances and which sizes you need.

A cabinet makeover is an inexpensive way to modernize an outdated kitchen. Use your kitchen planner to help you choose a new cabinet colour or simply paint the face of your old cabinets. Pay attention to details like drawer and door pulls and knobs. Replace part of the cabinet door with clear glass and display dishes as art. Install dim lighting inside the cabinets for a sophisticated look. Free floating shelves provide open storage.

Are you looking for an inexpensive way to update your kitchen? Then a cabinet change is in order. The quickest way to change your cabinets is to paint the doors and install new knobs. Consider using your cabinets as display areas by replacing the doors with clear glass or install free floating shelves as a casual display. Add lighting to the cabinets to increase the visual appeal.

Kitchen islands increase the amount of workspace in your kitchen and can help direct the flow of traffic. Even small kitchens can benefit from the rolling cart kitchen islands. These islands are easily dismantled so they can be placed into storage when not in use. Larger islands can accommodate a sink or stovetop making it easier for multiple cooks to freely move around the kitchen. For a large island, the additional space can be used as a breakfast bar.

Your remodelled kitchen is not complete without updating your countertops. Options for countertops range from the cheap with laminate and tile to the very expensive like marble. Granite is a popular choice in most new homes today. Use your kitchen planner to determine the dimensions you need. If you're looking for something different, consider stainless steel. If your island or counters are in a non-traditional shape, then try concrete countertops.

Backsplashes are an easy way to add some colour to your kitchen. Glass tiles, popular in industrial or modern style kitchens, are fairly inexpensive and come in an array of colours. Ceramic tile, usually found in traditional style kitchens, provides a colourful back drop for your kitchen. Wallpaper, though harder to clean from spills, provides another colourful aesthetic as a backsplash and on other kitchen walls. - 32406

Butcher Block Will Help You Cut Better

By Arthur Butler

If you want to properly prepare food, you need to have the freshest ingredients and the proper equipment. While the skill of the chef does make a difference, having the proper supplies is a make or break proposition when it comes to good food. If you think of your kitchen supplies as an investment, you will be more likely be buy quality items that should last your entire life. This holds true for a butcher choppingboard. Pay attention as we tell you how to use a choppingboard to cut better...

A butcher choppingboard is more than a cutting board. It is a thick board of wood that has been stuck together and treated with oil in order to make it be the perfect surface on which to chop meat. Before the mid nineteenth century, butchers, the principle choppers of meat, used to do their business on a large tree stump.

However, with repeated use, these stumps could break and they were so porous that germs and blood would stick to the surface at all times.

Butcher cutting boards were a huge improvement because they are easy to clean and very resilient. If you purchase a butcher board in your twenties it should last you a lifetime.

It consists of cutting board of wood turned on their end and fixed using glue together to create a board about four inches thick.

However, this type of board is very expensive. Edge grain butcher cutting boards are less expensive and therefore preferred on the consumer market. They are made by gluing long portions of wood together. Sometimes there is an underlying support structure, other times the wood is stuck together in a fashion that resembles a parquet floor. Either way, by choosing to use a butcher board, you are ensuring that your meat is being chopped on a stable and sanitary surface. - 32406

Tips for Designing a Modern Kitchen

By Matthew Kerridge

Have you been considering remodelling your home's kitchen? If so, it is likely that you have been searching for ideas to make your cooking space appear more modern and appealing. The good news is that there are numerous options for modern kitchens - you will find a wealth of ideas that will make your kitchen an enjoyable place to cook your family's meals. Your kitchen design can also create a pleasant environment for social gatherings.

One of the most notable trends of modern kitchens is efficiency of design. Today, many home owners look for ways to maximize use of their kitchen space, so they can prepare meals more quickly and easily. "Under the cabinet" appliances can help clear counter space and create a more efficient environment. Many types of appliances, such as microwaves, juicers, and coffee makers can be suspended from the bottom of your kitchen cabinets, so you will have more room to practice your culinary art.

Luxurious countertops are often featured in modern kitchens. Granite or stone tile is a great choice for improving your kitchen. These materials will give your kitchen area it a modern, sophisticated look. If you would rather have a countertop material that is easier to maintain, stainless steel is another popular option - this surface is easy to clean, and will give your kitchen a brighter appearance.

Your kitchen's design will rely heavily on the colour and appearance of the appliances you choose. Some modern kitchens are equipped with matte or gloss black appliances, which lend a sleek appearance. Pairing black appliances with light oak or white cabinets will give your kitchen a nice visual contrast. Stainless steel appliances are another good choice -they create a sophisticated look that your neighbours and family members will be sure to remember.

If your kitchen includes an eating area, you may have been thinking about purchasing a new dining table to compliment your modern design. Although dining tables are highly functional, they can impart a "dated" look and feel. A kitchen island can be an excellent alternative, because it lends a more modern appearance. Also, kitchen islands provide additional storage space, helping you create a cleaner look by giving you a place to tuck away small appliances and other kitchen items when not in use.

Flooring is an important part of creating a sophisticated kitchen design. Many modern kitchens are outfitted with stone tile floors - floor tiles come in a variety of hues and patterns, so you can easily find a design that compliments your kitchen's decor. If you are on a budget, you can also find a wide array of ceramic tiles to give your kitchen an updated look. It is a good idea to stay away from vinyl flooring, which can be damaged easily. Vinyl also creates a dated appearance that can detract from the rest of your kitchen decor.

Glass fronted cabinets feature prominently in modern kitchens. They give the appearance of a more open space, while adding visual appeal to your kitchen design. There are many of these designs available - quite a few homeowners choose frosted or patterned glass cabinet doors to achieve a modern look without revealing the contents of their kitchen cabinets. - 32406

An In-Depth Shower Filter Comparison of 5 Leading Brands

By David Thimme

In the last decade, the sale of shower filters has risen dramatically. Part of that trend may have a lot to do with the knowledge that herbicides, pharmaceutical drugs and other chemicals are showing up in the water we use in our homes. Another possibility is that the link between showering in filtered water and positive health and cosmetic benefits is steadily growing. One thing that does seem certain is that when the health risks become known, many people view a chlorine shower filter as a need and not just an amenity. Once people become aware of the hidden dangers of chlorine and other chemicals, the issue becomes which product is right for you.

Many reviews rightly focus on attributes like quality and price. However, this in-depth shower filter comparison of five top brands will also delve into service record, guarantees and filtration technology. Figuring out which one is the best can be a lengthy process, but well worth the time. In regards to the specifics of filter performance, the research is based on the manufacturer's own data. The reduction of chlorine, VOCs (Volatile Organic Chemicals), THMs (Trihalomethane) and both lead and copper, were used to determine each filtering system's effectiveness. One of the first points to mention is that the most expensive filter is definitely not always the one that works the best.

ShowerWise and Paragon

When considering the price, it is crucial to factor in the yearly cost and the filter's performance. The Paragon filter has an inexpensive initial cost of $69.99. Yet, when you take into account that a new filter must be bought at three month intervals for $39.99, the startup price is somewhat deceiving. Likewise, the ShowerWise system costs $79.99 and a replacement filter, which is needed after three months, is $39. Each system costs $13 a month.

Their prices are reasonable, however, neither one uses a carbon filter. The Paragon uses a KDF filter, while ShowerWise relies on a combination of KDF and Chlorgon. Unfortunately, they miss out on the benefits of a high-end carbon filter, which is extremely effective at filtering out synthetic chemicals, THMs and VOCs. Although the cost for both systems is low, the need to change the filter every three months and the absence of a carbon filter are two major reasons these filters get consistently low marks. Furthermore, both filtration systems were the only ones in the group that reduced shower head height and had flow rates of less than 2.5 Gallons Per Minute (GPM). Let's rule them out for now.

Wellness Shower Filter

The Wellness Filter costs $249. While it only needs a new filter every 18-24 months, the cost for a replacement filter is a steep $189. This averages out to a cost of $16 per month, easily the most expensive filter. Unfortunately, the high price is largely unjustified since its filtering performance is very similar to the much more reasonably priced Aquasana AQ-4100. Furthermore, the Wellness shower system uses only a single KDF filter and is priced at $150 above its nearest competitor. For these reasons, and particularly because of the price, this filter doesn't make the top two spots of this shower filter review.

Aquasana and Jonathan Beauty

The five competitors have been narrowed down to two and it's time to look at the finer points. The Jonathan Beauty shower filter is priced at $95 and a replacement cartridge costing $55 is needed at six-month intervals, for a monthly cost of $9.25. Although most of the top brands won't hurt your wallet too much, the Aquasana AQ-4100 gives you the most bang for the buck. The overall costs are lower than any other system. It is priced at $67.99 and the replacement filter, which lasts up to 6 months, is a very inexpensive $42. Monthly cost is an extremely affordable $7. It represents an amazing deal, but the filter's effectiveness must still be compared with its main rival.

Aquasana's filter performance was excellent. It eliminated over 90% of all chlorine, VOCs, and THMS, while reducing more than 70% of copper and lead. Jonathan Beauty did just as well as Aquasana in all categories but one, where it reduced lead and copper by over 90%. These two leading filters perform a great deal better than Paragon and ShowerWise when it comes to filtering chemicals. One of the main points of differentiation is that Jonathan Beauty is priced over 39% higher than Aquasana and the replacement filter is 23% costlier.

The final area that separates the two companies is service. Aquasana has been in the water treatment industry for over 15 years; utilizes over 17 patents; has sold over 9 million products; provides a 60-day guarantee (90 for some products) and offers a free lifetime warranty when you enroll in their "Water 4 Life" auto-ship program. When viewing the Jonathan Beauty shower filter website, there is no mention of a warranty. You have to search through dozens of hair care and other products to find the "terms and conditions." It says "Every item we sell has an unconditional money back guarantee," but there is no mention of when it might expire, a definite red flag. The Aquasana shower filter gives you more overall value and inspires a lot more consumer confidence.

Summary

Aquasana beat the field when it came to price. Except for one category, its 2-stage filtration process was equal to or outperformed the rest of field. Out of the top five brands examined here, only Aquasana and Jonathan Beauty have won the highly sought after Consumers Digest Magazine's "Best Buy" award, so they have shown that their manufacturing and quality are very high. A good rule of thumb is that if you don't feel safe drinking from your faucets, then what comes out of the showerheads is no safer. Take what you've learned here and select a high-quality shower water filter. - 32406

Getting Healthy using a Fruit Juicer

By Nick Jaggs

One of the easiest ways to get a serving of your five a day fruit or vegetables is by drinking juice made from them. Only drinking one glass of freshly squeezed orange juice will be beneficial to your health, but may well improve your energy levels as well. Although you can purchase juice ready squeezed spend some money on one of the many good fruit juicers now available and make your own instead.

We know that fruit juice is good for us but too much of a good thing can also cause problems. There are certain fruits which contain high levels of sugar and if consumed in large quantities can prove detrimental to one's health. For example if you are a diabetic these types of sugars are able to access the bloodstream a lot more quickly when consumed in juice form. This in turn results in the levels of blood sugar in the body increasing which can result in a diabetic attack taking place.

When you are considering buying fruit juicers you need to be aware that there are several different kinds to choose from. The types of juicers which you can purchase today include the centrifugal, the centrifugal injection, the manual press, the single auger, the dual cage auger, the twin press and the masticating juicer.

The most popular juicer that people tend to purchase when buying one of these and the one that has been on the market the longest is the centrifugal type. Not only are they simple in design but are very easy to use and it is the centrifugal force which helps to extract the juice from the fruit pulp which is forced against a shredder and strainer. However, there are some people who prefer the centrifugal injection models instead. Although they look like the centrifugal type juicer the sides of these are more slanted and cleaning proves a lot easier.

The other type of juicer which is now proving extremely popular is the masticating type. These instead of shredding the pulp chew it to extract the juice and you will discover that the juice made from this contains far less of the fruits pulp in it. Also they run at a lower speed than the centrifugal types so tend to make much less noise.

If you are thinking of buying a fruit juicer then there are certain factors that you need to be taking into consideration before you make your purchase. Along with how much you are willing to spend on the juicer there are other factors which we show below that you need to consider.

1. Select a juicer that is not only easy to operate but easy to clean. It is best if you look for one's that are compact and the parts into which the juice is deposited can be placed in a dishwasher to be cleaned. 2. You are better of going for the branded models as these will be more reliable and obtaining any replacement parts will prove to be a lot easier. 3. It is also best if you select the fruit juicers who run at slower speeds as these can prevent the amount of oxidation occurs in the juice. What these types of juicers do is allow you to extract more of the juice from the vegetables or fruit.

In this article we have looked at the various types of fruit juicers one can buy these days and the kinds of things to be looking for when you decide to go out and buy one. If you keep these factors in mind then finding one that not only meets your requirements but is affordable will become a lot easier. - 32406

The information in the log files include your IP (internet protocol) address, your ISP (internet service provider, such as AOL or Shaw Cable), the browser you used to visit our site (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox), the time you visited our site and which pages you visited throughout our site.

Cookies and Web Beacons
We do use cookies to store information, such as your personal preferences when you visit our site. This could include only showing you a popup once in your visit, or the ability to login to some of our features, such as forums.

We also use third party advertisements on this website to support our site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information including your IP address, your ISP , the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).

DoubleClick DART cookies
We also may use DART cookies for ad serving through Google’s DoubleClick, which places a cookie on your computer when you are browsing the web and visit a site using DoubleClick advertising (including some Google AdSense advertisements). This cookie is used to serve ads specific to you and your interests (”interest based targeting”). The ads served will be targeted based on your previous browsing history (For example, if you have been viewing sites about visiting Las Vegas, you may see Las Vegas hotel advertisements when viewing a non-related site, such as on a site about hockey). DART uses “non personally identifiable information”. It does NOT track personal information about you, such as your name, email address, physical address, telephone number, social security numbers, bank account numbers or credit card numbers. You can opt-out of this ad serving on all sites using this advertising by visiting http://www.doubleclick.com/privacy/dart_adserving.aspx

You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.

Deleting cookies does not mean you are permanently opted out of any advertising program. Unless you have settings that disallow cookies, the next time you visit a site running the advertisements, a new cookie will be added.
